Due diligence and compliance

Every company we transfer goes to an identified, verified owner. Here is what we check, why we check it and how it protects you.

  • KYC on every transfer
  • Sanctions screening
  • Secure document handling
Why we check

Due diligence protects you

Selling companies is a regulated activity in most countries. Providers must identify their customers, understand the purpose of the purchase and keep records. A seller who does not ask for these documents is a warning sign, not a convenience.

Proper checks also help you later: banks, payment providers and counterparties will ask the same questions, and a clean, documented transfer makes those conversations easier.

What we ask every buyer for

  • Proof of identity: valid passport or national identity card
  • Proof of address: utility bill or bank statement dated within three months
  • Business description: what the company will do, where and with whom
  • Source of funds: where the purchase money comes from
  • Ownership chart: every beneficial owner holding 25% or more, and every director
  • Corporate buyers: certificate of incorporation, registers and authorised signatory
Standards

Guidance on substance rules in offshore and low-tax jurisdictions before you choose.

Data protection

Documents are stored securely and used only for your transfer and our legal obligations.

We will not help with

Where we draw the line

  • Hiding the real owner of a company from authorities or banks
  • Presenting an aged company as having a trading or credit history
  • Evading tax, sanctions or court orders
  • Buyers who cannot or will not complete due diligence
